Commercial licensing

Choose the license that fits your team

CanvasGlobe is free under GPLv3 for compatible open-source projects. Choose a commercial license when you need to keep your product proprietary.

Open-source license

GPLv3 remains free

If your application can comply with GNU GPLv3, you may use the full CanvasGlobe library without buying a commercial license. GPLv3 also permits commercial activity when its requirements are followed.

License details

Key points before you purchase

These summaries help you choose a plan. Your accepted agreement and order govern.

Who counts as a developer?

Anyone who accesses CanvasGlobe to build or modify a covered product, including employees, consultants, and contractors.

What counts as a product?

A website, application, service, or offering covered by the order. Environments and deployments of the same product normally count as one product.

Can the product be sold?

Yes. A commercial license permits proprietary commercial use within its developer and product limits. It does not grant general redistribution rights.

Updates and support

Perpetual plans include updates and support for 12 months. Renewal is optional and is needed only for continued updates and support after that period.

Perpetual use

You may continue using versions delivered during your included update period after that period ends, subject to the commercial agreement.

Redistribution and resale

SDKs, builders, templates, white-label products, generated copies, and similar downstream distribution require an OEM agreement.

One legal entity

Standard plans cover products owned and controlled by the purchasing legal entity. Affiliates and broader corporate groups may require Enterprise terms.

Same package and features

GPLv3 and commercial users install the same CanvasGlobe package. A commercial purchase changes your legal permissions, not the feature set.
